A man once grew a vineyard on very rocky ground…he toiled but the fruits of his labour was evident when a vast vineyard grew and from it the world’s sweetest grapes. Confused by the success of his grapes many sough out his secret. The man sat relaxed feet up glass of wine in his hand a triumphant smile on his face. ‘I had nothing to do with it. he said ‘its the grapes, they struggled to set roots through the hardened ground to get water, the resulting resilience brought forth the fruit’
We run away from challenges to avoid pain. The explanation is the perception that the cost of pain is too high. But life is designed to be an uneasy struggle with two absolute promises: The first is that there are bound to be challenges. These are designed to look like impossible to overcome but it by facing them that you develop a stronger version of your self.
The second truth is that change is inevitable. Change is the necessary constant we must all face as nothing in life lasts forever. Change keeps us fresh while bringing about the opportunities we need to achieve self mastery.
Both truth offer us the opportunities we need to grow which is the basis of life. Its is said that the first signs of death is the absence of growth. It is for this reason that challenges, adversity and the inevitable change must be embraced and through these that your true potential will be realized.
